You're NOT Allergic To Gluten

Going gluten-free has become a general health trend, even for those who haven't been diagnosed with gluten sensitivity or Celiac disease. If you've cut out gluten just for the sake of it, you're probably missing out on major nutrients and health benefits. According to Katherine Tallmadge, a registered dietitian, "most gluten-free processed foods are not made with nutrient-rich, health-protecting whole grains" which contain fiber, iron, zinc, folate, niacin, thiamine, riboflavin, calcium, vitamin B12 and phosphorus. Unless you're actually allergic to gluten, it's not your best bet to cut it out.
