What inspired you to start your account?
Originally, I was supposed to start the blog with my sister Catherine. Although we are very different, we both have one thing in common, we love fashion. At the time, I was living in Albany and she was living here in the city. With our conflicting schedules it just didn't seem like it was going to happen. One morning I woke up and just told myself I was going to start.
In August of 2014, While living in Upstate New York, I founded North of Manhattan as a creative outlet to chronicle my daily outfits. While it definitely made it more difficult to grow a fashion following, I began to integrate more of my other passions including working out, beauty, and travel. Now that I am officially living in New York City I couldn’t be happier! My goal is to encourage and influence all women to have the confidence to try new things, dare to be different, and always own who they are.
