Ali Maffucci

"We did this for many reasons, but mainly because we didn’t feel safe at home anymore," she explained to the #haterz. "We live in a high rise building with hundreds of people and every time we leave (for example, something as simple as going to the trash shoot to take out the garbage), we’re at risk of contracting (or spreading!) COVID-19. We can’t breath fresh air without worrying. After I saw a woman collapse in our lobby, I couldn’t stay there anymore."

Although she claims she and her fam will be self-quarantining for 14 days when they arrive in Florida, where they'll be staying at a friend's vacation home, her followers are not having it. One commenter called her "part of the problem" while another said, "Imagine being present for the collapse of a presumably covid-infected person and thinking 'the smartest thing I could do right now is drive south along the entirety of America's east coast.'"

Ouch.
