Who is involved?

Who: The group's website description - “[a] leaderless resistance movement with people of many colors, genders and political persuasions." Basically, it's a lot of (mostly young) people with a lot of time on their hands because they're all unemployed. It has inklings of the protests in England a few months ago (which started for an entirely different reason). Let's hope no car-bombs come of this. Celebrities who have announced solidarity with the movement include Susan Sarandon, Michael Moore, and Noam Chomsky. Also, the protest groups are called "General Assemblies," a nod to the fact that the UN General Assembly is going on right now. [Photo via]
