You remember Flynn McGarry. The prodigy chef who opened a supper club out of his mother's home when he was just 11 years old? You read about him in the New Yorker and the New York Times. He's plated at some of the best restaurants around the world and now he's landed in New York City - around the block from our office, in fact. The 18-year-old foodie genius has launched his aptly titled "Eureka" tasting menu at West Village locale, Kava Cafe, the place we just so happen to stop by every morning for our croissant and Americano.
The special chef's counter provides adventurous eaters with an intimate 16 course dinner, prepared, quite literally, before their eyes. For $160 per person (with the option of a $90 wine pairing), it's not a bad deal. We caught up with the teen mastermind right after opening night to talk his Kava takeover, the NYC dining scene, and of course, the possibility of a full-scale McGarry restaurant.
