So you have to be more creative?
Well, yes. Mad Men is very creative, though. It’s more about having that amazing, total access to your period because there is just so much visual inspiration from the period. Costume design is a little bit different from fashion design. I mean, I did 3 collections with Banana Republic and those collections were really inspired from [Mad Men]. So we took the costumes from the show and really developed that line through sort of melding all the different characters together and being able to present the collection to the consumer with modern cuts and modern fabrics that really are inspired from the show.
