Man About Town: Scott Lipps On His Favorite Parties, What He Looks For In Models, And Much More!
This year was really big in terms of playing music again. What was it like for you to get back into music?
It was pretty incredible. If you asked me years ago if I would be on tour with her playing in front of 5,000 to 60,000 people I never would have thought it would be the case. So our last show was about 2 or 3 weeks ago and it was in Canada, and we headlined the Rifflandia festival which is almost like the Canadian Coachella. I basically left work on a Thursday during fashion week, I left my office at 12 o' clock and about 24 hours later I was there and playing in front of 12,000 people or whatever it was. And that's where my life gets a little bit nontraditional. Are you interested in getting in the studio?I mean we've been working on a record, so we've recorded like 10 songs.Who are some of your favorite bands? From a classic standpoint, definitely Zeppelin, Beatles and Stones of course. I always loved Radiohead. Cheap Trick is one of my all time favorite bands, ever. Zeppelin for the drumming, for John Bonham, one of the greatest drummers ever. There are so many bands...The latest thing I've been listening to is the new Kings of Leon, new Elvis Costello record, the new Stone Temple Pilots record, the Metallica record, the new Pearl Jam, that's what I've been listening to.[Scott Lipps, Courtney Love via @guestofaguest]
