Who Influences You?
Growing up I was really close with my mom, she was a big finance woman. Awesome, kick butt. She really liked working and was always there for me.
What is your role?
Well we break it down into separate committees. So last year I was involved in the silent auction, acquiring a lot of different items. I got Soul Cycle packages, Organic Avenue cleanses and I have a really good friend who has his own art dealer company, Art Bastion, so I got him to donate a few paintings.
What was your biggest obstacle last year?
Definitely finding sponsorship for like the bigger items like liquor. We get everything donated so we do raise a significant amount of money just because of that but if we don’t have it then that’s obviously the biggest part of it.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a ballerina when I was little. I came to terms with that dream very quickly.
How did you get involved with WorldFund?
Well actually WorldFund was started by my mom's very good friend, Luanne, so I’ve grown up knowing about it. Then when I graduated I was doing a lot of stuff with, my alma mater, Barnard and I was also involved with another educational non-profit. So I’m one of the newer people to the committee.
