Breakfast at Tiffany's, 1961
Audrey Hepburn's style in Breakfast at Tiffany's, created by the late Hubert de Givenchy, is masterfully iconic. The opening shot of this film, captured at 5 AM on Fifth Avenue in New York City, required two different variants of the same gown: one for walking, and one for standing.
The outfits donned by Hepburn in Tiffany's still permeate fashion today, both in street style and runway. And it's not just the classic little black dress. There is a genius boat neck sweater with pleated black pants, a tuxedo shirt and turquoise eye mask, and the perfect tortoise-shell sunglasses.
