Today in grossly unjust social news, our friend (and one of our favorite bachelors) Waris Ahluwalia, was barred from boarding an Aero Mexico flight to New York solely because he would not remove his turban. The certified man about town, actor, and jewelry designer posted about the incident on Instagram yesterday, after he was "randomly selected" (yeah, right) for more extensive screening and was asked to remove his traditional Sikh turban. “That’s akin to asking someone to take off their clothes,” Ahluwalia explained.
After receiving hundreds of comments of support and messages of dismay at the actions of the Aero Mexico employees, Waris, ever the class-act, posted a selfie with a heart and urged everyone "that our struggle against fear and ignorance is fought with love."
