This is one of the strictest clubs for creatives in Paris, if not in the entire world. Though created terribly recently by club standards (2011!), its extremely tight membership policy and the fact that its founder is David Lynch quickly established
Silencio as the premier French arts club. Said to consider itself the 21st century "successor to salons," the club contains several galleries, an art library, and a cinema inside its gilded walls. Recommendations from current members are encouraged, but will hardly get you through the door. Applicants must prove true commitment and excellence in their artistic/professional fields to be considered seriously. The thorough vetting process is well-worth the stellar cultural programs Silencio plans every month; this is one members-only club where you're sure to never get bored.
