Thursday, December 21st marks the Winter Solstice of 2017, a.k.a. the shortest day of the year, a.k.a. the longest night. While that may seem depressing to some, the event is traditionally a day of celebration for cultures and religions throughout the world - after all, it could only mean that things will start getting brighter from here on out. But why start counting down the hours until dawn, when after-dark activities are always the most thrilling?
