It was a sad day for kids (and kids-at-heart) when Manhattan's iconic toy store shut its doors after 30 years in the General Motors Building, back in 2015. But, just in time for Christmas, news has arrived that F.A.O. Schwarz has found a new home - and is set to reopen in the fall of 2018.
According to the Commercial Observer, the retailer has leased a 19,000-square-foot space at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, and will be replacing the NBC Experience Store. While the location is certainly smaller than the former 61,000-square-foot flagship, we can bet that it'll feature all the magical components we know and love - including that famous Big Piano.
