Medieval Masterpiece
The
Metropolitan Museum of Art is a staple to New York City, but many people have probably never heard of its other branches. The Cloisters museum and gardens is a lesser known branch, and portrays the art and architecture of medieval Europe, housing domestic and religious elements dating back from the 12th-15th centuries.
Visitors will find over 3,000 works of art from medieval Europe dating from around the 9th-16th centuries. It's a true treasure tucked away in Manhattan! Guided tours and gallery talks are also provided.
