Hudson Yards

There's just something unsettling about streets that seemingly appear out of nowhere, which is why, for years, we've tried to steer clear of 11th and 12th avenues. To be fair, there's never really been anything there, and you'd have to walk what felt like 10 miles uphill both ways from the nearest subway. But now that far West Side area between 30th and 34th streets is no longer a dead zone. After nearly 20 years in the making, Hudson Yards is the city's new $25 billion neighborhood, filled with must-visit eateries, luxury shopping, cultural hubs, and even a brand new landmark. Oh, and there's a subway station. Who would have guessed we'd be spending so much time in a glorified shopping mall?
