The Flower District
In the heart of Chelsea, there's a little-known oasis mostly frequented by florists and event planners: The Flower District. It's technically just a one-block stretch on 28th Street between 6th and 7th, but it feels like a true escape from the concrete jungle. Lined with wholesale flower shops and nurseries, the particularly green street has always seen tumbleweeds after dark, but the new Moxy Chelsea has changed all that. Staying true to the area's roots (pun intended), the hotel boasts a Putnam & Putnam pop-up flower shop in its lobby, along with a very swanky rooftop lounge called The Fleur Room.
