Summit Rock
Peaking at 141.8 feet, Summit Rock is the highest natural elevation in the Park. Located right next to the Great Lawn but shielded by heavy foliage so it’s easily missed by park-goers, this site was supposedly used by Native Americans in the 19th century as a meeting place with mystical significance. Head up to the top via the north or south side paths, and you’ll find a small meadow and flag stone terrace at the top. You can even glimpse through the trees and see all the way to New Jersey!
