It Girl-favorite fashion and homewares brand La DoubleJ has brought Milanese maximalism to Little Italy this month, taking over the neighborhood's oldest bakery, Caffe Roma, for a special limited-time residence celebrating Italian style and craftsmanship courtesy of founder J.J. Martin.
The plush pop-up, which runs through December, sees the downtown staple transformed in the brand's own bold and beyond glamorous image, draped in festive prints and floral decor from the coffee counter to the seat cushions to the charming tablecloths.
La DoubleJ's latest dinnerware and tableware collection, dubbed Roman Holiday, is on display throughout the caffe to inspire guests' own colorful tablescapes at home. The dramatic patterned porcelain, linens, glasses, and furnishings from the collection can be purchased online on the brand's website.
In addition to basking in the atmosphere of La Dolce Vita, visitors can indulge in limited edition La DoubleJ x Caffe Roma cookies and take their treats away in custom printed cookie boxes (perfect for gifting) and chic coffee sleeves.
