Just last month, Mark Connell turned the space above his beloved Nolita eatery, Botanica, into a high-end wine bar. Estela's atmosphere comes from an amalgamation of European and local influences that has created a laid-back menu containing large plates to be shared, like cured American ham, beef tartare dressed with fish sauce, and hanger steak topped with spelt and anchovies. Estela also has an extensive wine menu, as well as a great cocktail menu and beer selection.
