Grab a Slice of Sanctity
Head on over to Bleecker Street Pizza where chef Tony Salihaj spent three hours and about a pound of mozzarella cheese to put the pope's portrait on a pie (creation complete with an anchovy staff). Or down to Ribalta in Union Square for a Vatican-inspired deep dish made by Rosario Procino for his good friend Enzo Cacialli, who hopped a fence last March give a pizza to the pope on his visit to Naples, Italy.
Wherever you take your lunch break this Friday, keep an eye out for the big guy in white who says that, despite his doctor-ordered diet of fish and rice, he “would like to go out one day... and go to a pizzeria for a pizza." Well, Francis, you're in the right place for a hot slice! Have your people call my people, we'll set something up between sermons tomorrow.
