9. West Village
When it comes to choosing between the two Villages, East may be your first instinct. Sure, it has all the bars, but it also has all the college kids. When you can't sleep because of all the shouting and bottle-smashing, you'll realize that West is best. It's quieter, perhaps, and filled with more baby carriages, but it's also full of sophistication - and the Meatpacking District.
