The Intrepid
Located in Hell’s Kitchen, the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum offers an interactive way to experience military history. Climb aboard the restored Aircraft Carrier Intrepid, survivor of 5 kamikaze attacks and 1 tornado attack during WWII. Or step onto the Space Shuttle Pavilion, which paved the way for America’s space shuttle program. Other exhibits include the Submarine Growler and the British Airways Concorde. General admission for adults is $24. During NYC Fleet Week in May, the museum hosts several cool events. This museum is great for all ages and anyone interested in taking a closer look at the crafts that played significant roles in U.S. history.
