The Museum at FIT
Are you a fashion connoisseur? Well, then you’re in luck. The Fashion Institute of Technology’s Museum is home to one of the world's largest collection of costumes, textiles, and apparel from the 18th century to present day. Different exhibits throughout the year range from fashion photography to jewelry design to runway ensembles. The current big exhibit is Global Fashion Capitals, featuring 70+ objects representing the history of the world’s most prominent fashion capitals, including Paris, Milan, London, and our very own New York. The Museum also highlights FIT student and faculty work. Upcoming exhibits include Fashion Underground: The World of Susanne Bartsch, Denim: Fashion's Frontier, Fairy Tale Fashion, and Proust's Duchess. Admission is free! All fashion fanatics definitely need to check out FIT’s museum.
