These Instagrammable Murals Let You Fake An Italian Vacation

by Stephanie Maida · October 5, 2020

Unless you're in possession of a coveted private jet - or an even more coveted European passport - chances are you had to put that trip to Italy on hold this year. But just because you can't actually be lounging on a beach on the Amalfi Coast right now, doesn't mean you can't Instagram like you are.

Thanks to Aperol, the go-to aperitif of Italians both real and pretend, you can still snag a shot on your dream vacation without so much as leaving your borough.

Through October 10th, discover la dolce vita by discovering Aperol's gorgeous (hand-painted!) murals taking over Williamsburg and Manhattan, boasting vivid scenes from Amalfi to Venice and providing you with all the #AperolMoments you've been daydreaming about (albeit without the plane ticket). Find them in Brooklyn at N. 10th and Wythe and N. 14th and Wythe, and Manhattan on Mulberry and Bleecker, and on Thompson and Grand.

And to turn your Instagrammable adventure into a full-on Italian getaway day, be sure to whip up your very own Aperol Spritz at home!

    Ingredients:
    Ice Cubes
    Chilled Prosecco
    Aperol
    Soda
    Slice of Orange
