Move over, Willy Wonka, there's a new Candy King in town!
Thanks to his whimsical new candy shop, that would be none other than Jean-Georges Vongerichten.
Glamorously designed by Roman + Williams, Spoiled Parrot is the chic confectionery destination just unveiled inside the Tin Building, the famed chef's fancy food hall at Pier 17.
With a name inspired by a Rumi poem - I am a spoiled parrot who eats only candy. I have no interest in bitter food - and perfectly pink interiors that would make Marie Antoinette feel right at home, it's undoubtedly the most magical spot to indulge your sweet tooth in NYC.
Among the swirl of bubbly lights and lollipop towers, you'll find a gilded ice cream counter serving up house-made gelato, sherbet, sorbet, popsicles, and soft serve with a fresh, rotating flavor schedule. You can also get lost in a deliciously colorful maze of high-end caramels, marshmallows, cotton candy, bon bons, and, of course, chocolate on chocolate, from internationally sourced candy bars to Jean-Georges's exclusive collaborations with fine chocolatiers like Jacques Torres and Fritz Knipschildt. Honestly, we'd be surprised if you didn't also find a few Sugar Plum Fairies dancing on a shelf.
Head to the Tin Building to make all your sweet dreams come true - just don't tell your dentist we sent you.
