David Paterson's Last Event As Governor?

Saturday night, the 9th Annual Greater New York Human Rights Campaign Gala was held at the Waldorf Astoria. Some of New York's favorite local celebrities were there, including Sarah Jessica Parker and Jill Zarin, but for once, most of the gossip was focused on David Paterson. Would this be his last public speaking engagement as Governor?-

In the hours leading up to the alleged New York Times Expose, and what people are speculating might be the Governor's resignation, it's hard to tell if these are the last pictures that will be taken of the man who stepped in during the last NY Governor scandal.

Sarah Jessica sparkled, New York Senator Kristen Gillibrand spoke on the issues surrounding Gay and Lesbian rights in New York, and all attendees urged each other to remain committed to the cause of equality for LGBT employees, consumers, and investors.

Somewhat presciently, the theme of the evening was "Speak The Truth". Perhaps the beleaguered Governor will take Saturday Evening's message to heart in the aftermath of today's expected announcement...
