Know your local laws & regulations
In order to avoid any trouble, make sure you're well-versed in your city's Airbnb laws. While NYC in particular has gotten stricter, there are still ways to earn some extra dough by listing your place. One option? Have one of your hosts present during a stay. Just list your room and promise your roommate staying behind that you'll split the profits. Or you can aim for snagging long-term guests (a month or more).
