Hampton Chutney Co.
Chow down on a “dosa” (a thin, crispy Indian version of a crepe) for only 189 calories at one of the Manhattan outposts of Hampton Chutney, which originated out in Amagansett. The owners met in an ashram in South India, where they fell in love with the traditional Indian food (and apparently, each other). Choose from a variety of fillings, including the traditional potato filling, grilled chicken, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, avocado, or tomato, and then top off your dosa with one of six freshly made chutneys. Be sure to order a Cardamom coffee before you walk out the door—it’s richly flavored with exotic Indian spices for a one-of-a-kind energy boost.
