Lafayette
Oh to be in some Provencal French village, rounding cobblestone streets with a woven basket brushed with strokes of lavender leaves. Makes New York seem a real slag in comparison, no? Though there are lovely little Franco-inspired finds to make a poor man's Paris of our fair city. Such a haven is Lafayette, a cafe and bakery with j'adorable interiors, and a dream of a frisee salad, a bramble of goodness tossed with house bacon and poached egg. This and a side of oh so exotic 'pommes frites,' and you've yourself one Seine worthy scene.
