Although we've long ago accepted the harsh truth about truffle oil (it's a hoax), there are some legit dishes out there that really do feature the expensive fungi in all its glory. One such spot you're likely to find a quality selection? Oak Tuscan Truffle Lounge, a new eatery dedicated to the art of truffle pasta. Um, yes please.
According to Eater, the forthcoming West Village restaurant has just applied for a liquor license to serve wine - because people are going to need something to help wash down all that shroomy, creamy, carb-o-loaded goodness.
While word is still out on when, exactly, the "truffle lounge" is set to open, it will reportedly be located in a small space at 28 Greenwich Avenue. We're already putting it on the books for date night.
