Balthazar Is Donating All Of Its Dinner Proceeds To Ukraine This Tuesday

by Stephanie Maida · March 7, 2022

Not that we ever need a reason to grab dinner at Balthazar, but this week, a reservation at the Soho hot spot has become particularly meaningful.

In the wake of the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, restaurateur Keith McNally has announced that all of the proceeds from Tuesday night's dinner service will be donated to UNICEF's Protect The Children fund for Ukraine.

In an Instagram post shared on both his personal account and Balthazar's, McNally wrote that on the average Tuesday, the restaurant takes in $35,000 to $40,000. Hardly a drop in the bucket.

We mean, if you're going to splurge on steak frites and martinis, why not put that money towards an urgent, life-saving cause?
