Leave it to Daniel Boulud to transform a swanky skyscraper into a lush oasis fit for the finest of fine dining experiences.

Introducing Le Pavillon, the much-anticipated and recently debuted new eatery from the iconic chef and restaurateur that's already become the fanciest must-try in town.

Spanning 11,000 square feet, the chic culinary destination is located inside One Vanderbilt, the latest towering building to transform the Midtown skyline. Embracing the restaurant's location with his own twist, Boulud has created a plant-filled escape inspired by the traditional pavilions found throughout France, known as celebratory gathering areas surrounded by nature.

And indeed, Le Pavillon brings nature to the concrete jungle. The elegant interiors, designed by Isay Weinfeld alongside architecture firm KPF, evoke the tranquility of a secret garden, dotted with live greenery, winding paths, and 20-foot trees. Setting a scene that may feel more familiar to Midtown power-lunchers (slash power-drinkers), the sleek bar and lounge area boasts an extra-high ceiling, a dramatic chandelier by artist Andy Paiko, and stunning glass-walled views of Grand Central Terminal and the Chrysler building.

As for - duh - the food? Expect a rotating menu of healthy and seasonal fare focused on locally-sourced ingredients, primarily vegetables and seafood. Roasted Maine lobster, buckwheat crusted sea scallops, and saffron roasted cauliflower are just a few of the dishes to currently look forward to. And, of course, an extensive selection of wine and house cocktails will be available to wash it all down.

"I can’t think of a more fitting moment to open Le Pavillon," says Boulud. "Despite the many, many challenges that we have faced in the last year our commitment to creating this dining destination never wavered and, in fact, we are more certain than ever that this celebration of cuisine, nature and architecture is exactly what New Yorkers need right now. It is my sincere hope that this is an opportunity to celebrate New York City for all of us."
