In the market for a new downtown haunt?

Soho's newest hot spot Mareluna is more than just a stylish culinary oasis, it's a full circle realization of the New York dream.

In 1996, Marco Britti was fresh to the city, having just made the big move from Puglia, Italy. While pursuing a career as a professional drummer, the musician found himself working the register at a French bistro at 137 Sullivan Street, a home away from home that would leave its mark on the aspiring artist. Years later, Britti's success in the music world lead him to an unexpected calling - restaurateur.

Today, his third restaurant, Mareluna, is in every way a homecoming. A return not only to the simple, flavorful food of his homeland, but also to his first welcoming post at 137 Sullivan Street in that magic slice of West SoHo.

In collaboration with his partner Andreea Milgram, Britti has created a bright, warm space that embraces all of Italy's regional beauty - with the design feeling at once coastal, country and metropolitan.
