Morandi Is Finally Reopening, & The First 600 Customers Eat For Free?

by Christie Grimm · August 24, 2020

While New York may feel like a completely different city compared to how it started the summer - with restaurants blooming back into business, sidewalks and parking spots transformed into inviting gardens and formal dining rooms - a stroll around town will still leave you with many instances of asking yourself, "Will they or won't they?"

Keith McNally recently took to Instagram to announce that West Village Italian favorite Morandi will finally be reopening. Their outdoor cafe will be serving up dinner starting September 14th, with brunch and lunch starting the following weekend.

Of course, in true Keith McNally fashion, the cheeky restaurateur just couldn't help but throw in a confusing joke at the end of his announcement, declaring that Morandi would be "FREE FOR THE FIRST 600 CUSTOMERS!!!!"

Clearly, not everybody knew who they were dealing with because he immediately followed that up with a second post stating "Free Dinner for Morandi’s first 600 customers is a joke, of course. I really apologize to anyone who might have thought I was serious. xxx"

    Lol.
