At first glance, La Esquina looks like your average dive-y taco joint. But nightlifers-in-the-know will breeze right past the cramped taqueria to the downstairs lounge, one of New York's trendiest restaurants to see and be seen. But rest assured, the food on both floors is well worth the visit -- the steak, pork, and chicken tacos are always delicious, but be sure and try the Mexican truffle quesadilla and the Elotes Callejeros, or grilled corn.
