Joseph Leonard
Every culturally and socially discerning young person in New York should familiarize themselves with the off-the-scene but actually on-the-scene, effortless cool of Joseph Leonard. A rotating door of fashionable foodies, they constantly deliver in the fun department, whether it's a midday lunch, a late night dinner, or, but of course, a weekend brunch amongst friends. Though it's petite little set up definitely breathes a coziness and charm into the West Village nook of a restaurant, it also ups the wait for tables. But still, their Monkey Bread, topped with a pool of anglaise, cinnamon brown sugar, almonds and blueberries, is beyond worth a wait. Seriously, if we were going to have a last supper a la Jesus, first of all, it'd be a last brunch, and second, this would be the metaphorical bread of our bodies. Metaphorical largely because we'd rather give up our body than a pan of this bread.
