The iconic orange dusted puffed corn snacks are making all the headlines this year, from a museum to a perfume to being the color of our President's skin, and the snack is not slowing down. Cheetos lovers unite: a Cheetos themed pop-up restaurant called The Spotted Cheetah is coming to Tribeca this August.
The restaurant is a partnership idea between Cheetos brand and Food Network’s Anne Burrell. The limited "Dangerously Cheesy" experience will take place at the bar, Distilled. Being that Burrell is an iron chef and has beat Bobby Flay a number of times on his hit Food Network show, it's safe to say that this gimmick is going to be equally nostalgic and delicious.
The Spotted Cheetah will be serving up some drool worthy dishes like, Hot Cheetos dusted mac and cheese, tomato soup and Cheetos grilled cheese, Cheetos crusted fried tomatoes and not your grandma's meatballs, made with Cheetos and ricotta. For dessert, the pop-up is using the brand's Sweetos in a cheesecake and apple-filled crepes made with White Cheddar Cheetos.
But here's the catch: The Spotted Cheetah will only be running from August 15th through August 17th and you cannot dine without a reservation. So, book fast because things are about to get more than just dangerously cheesy.
