    New York's Restaurant Week Summer 2011 is almost here! It start July 11 and goes on until July 24. Save your money for the booze since you only have to pay $24.07 for lunch and $35 for dinner. Check out our recommendations and leave us comments on your favorites!

    The Bar Room at The Modern (9 W 53rd St, 212-333-1220)

    The food here has been described as “art on a plate” and considering Danny Meyer’s restaurant is part of MoMA it is fair to assume that the aesthetics does not stop at renowned chef, Gabriel Kreuther’s French–New American cuisine and you will be surrounded by art as well.

    This new seafood brasserie features Frenchified fare from San Fran chef Laurent Manrique, prepared in an open kitchen (or plucked from its raw bar); the name translates as ‘vintage’, and the ambiance is just that, a softly lit mix of red leather banquettes and mosaic tiles, enhanced by a mezzanine-level view of the world going by in the lobby.

    Nobu Matsuhisa offers this restaurant to New Yorkers as a more relaxed and cheaper next-door alternative to Nobu. Since the original is only serving lunch during restaurant week this is your only option to dine on the famous fare for dinner.

    This New American restaurant from inaugural Top Chef winner, Harold Dieterle is named for the formal name of the tangy, mint-related herb the Japanese call shiso. One of the first course options is a cucumber melon gazpacho with a celery-jalapeno relish!

    This self-described contemporary Lebanese restaurant offers  Mediterranean dishes that infuse authentic Lebanese dishes with modern influences. The decor mirrors the cuisine and envelops the diner in Old Lebanon mixed with a new sexy attitude.
