It's certainly no secret that Sant Ambroeus is not cheap. But did you ever realize how much crossing 14th Street and venturing to their Madison Avenue perch will cost you when compared to their downtown locations?
Uh, the uptown upcharge is real!
On Madison, the Sant Ambroeus Yogurt (served with fresh berries, organic granola and honey) will run you $22. At Brookfield Place, it's $13.
On Madison, the Caprese Invernale Salad costs $34. In Soho, it's $26.
On Madison, the Branzino (every New Yorkers favorite fish to overpay for) is priced at $72. In the West Village, it's $61.
On Madison, an espresso is $6.50. Everywhere downtown, it's $5.
Even the fucking sides are inflated! Everywhere downtown side dishes are a flat $13, but uptown they're $18!
Are we supposed to believe that things on the Upper East Side are actually that much better?
All we're saying is next time you feel like indulging in la dolce vita, consider how much that subway ride downtown will end up saving you...
