It's impossible to imagine about life in New York without the countless restaurants and bars and cafés that punctuate our days, setting moments of community and togetherness. Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic, nearly all of New York City’s 26,000-plus restaurants were forced to close their doors practically overnight, leaving millions of restaurant workers without jobs.
Though many restaurants have set up individual donation funds where generous patrons can help their staff through this difficult, uncertain time, groups like ROAR (Relief Opportunities for All Restaurants) are so important in the work that they've been doing to disperse funds across the industry.
Driven to give back, Kristin Tice Studeman, respected writer and founder of The Rosé Project, has created a most wonderful way to support ROAR's mission. Her new e-cookbook, Serving New York: For All The People Who Make NYC Dining Unforgettable, features more than 45 recipes from NYC’s best restaurants, including Olmsted, Momofuku, King, Charlie Bird, Llama Inn, the NoMad, and more. All of the recipes were created by the chefs specifically for the book, and highlight pantry/freezer-staples so you can easily make these dishes at home right now.
The e-book will be released in early/mid-May, but you can (and should!) pre-order your copy today!
