This week, the Barefoot Contessa enjoyed lunch at beloved West Village staple Buvette.

While many would have - perhaps all too obviously - gone for the spot's famed steamed eggs, Ina went for the Buttermilk Waffle Sandwich with a sunny-side egg, bacon and gruyere, doused in a hefty pour of syrup.

I mean, how is this not the answer of all answers, right?

Ever the foodie, she finished the meal out with a slice of Tarte Tatin.

The perfect blueprint for a weekend brunch, no? Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery after all!
