Maialino (Vicino)
ICYMI, the Gramercy Park Hotel, the haunt frequented by rock stars, Hollywood legends, and literary greats over the past century, has been locked in a legal battle since shutting its doors at the beginning of the pandemic in 2020. Unfortunately, the shuttering of the hotel has also led to the "temporary closure" of Danny Meyer's Maialino. However, the beloved Italian trattoria will finally be making a comeback this October, albeit at a temporary location inside the Redbury Hotel. The resurrected spot will be dubbed Maialino (vicino), which translates to "nearby," and promises to "bring the familiar warmth and energy of the Gramercy Park original" to its new home inside the Redbury's Vini e Fritti and Caffe Marchio spaces.
