After earning itself a local fan base during its time as a pop-up last summer, modern English food spot Dame will be opening its doors as a permanent fixture in the West Village this spring. Along with co-owner Patricia Howard, Chef Ed Szymanski will be at the helm, cooking up locally-sourced seafood which hopefully includes those hit fish and chips from last year. The vibe they're going for? Le Bernardin, but without the tablecloths and stuffy atmosphere.
