The food at newish Chelsea spot Portale may be inspired by Chef Alfred Portale's Italian heritage, but the atmosphere is anything but old school. Designed by INC Architecture & Design, the sleek space makes use of raw material including limed white washed reclaimed timber, bleached white oak and painted white raw brick along with "refined finishes like brass, black lacquer, teal leather, calacatta arabescato marble, and burled walnut."
