The Turk's Inn feels like a hidden gem, though it's certainly not hard to find thanks to its kitschy facade in the heart of Bushwick, Brooklyn. But even its storefront is nothing compared to the over-exaggerated ode to the Ottoman Empire (as seen through the eyes of mid-century Midwesterners) you'll find once you walk in.

Modeled after an iconic Wisconsin supper club of the same name, where one could find John F. Kennedy tucked into a booth among locals, the reincarnated Turk's Inn is full of campy, trippy, 1960s-era pastiche. Think: the Madonna Inn meets a Middle Eastern tea room. It looks like a strange time capsule for a reason; owners and Wisconsin natives Varun Kataria and Tyler Erickson scoured the auction when the original closed down in 2014, recreating the interiors (especially the Sultan Room) here in New York.

Made for large groups to spend the entire evening, the eclectic spot melds hearty Midwestern classics with Turkish delights on its menu, and boasts a party room and bar (often featuring live music and nightlife programming) as well as a kebab stand, not to mention all that over-the-top Instagrammable decor.
