Oh, How I Missed The Hills

I have to say, The Hills has been a guilty pleasure of mine for quite some time now. I’m woman enough to admit it … and I know that there are at least a few of you out there who share in my tempered enthusiasm. I know it’s staged, I know it’s shallow, and I know that I am a less respectable person for watching … but I still can’t tear myself away from the aesthetically pleasing flashes of couture, glam, and beautiful people (save for Spencer, whose facial hair and bravado annoy me). That being said, I was pleased to return from my ski vacation to find that the new season had premiered and lots of like-minded bloggers and commentators were “on it”. It is no surprise that my favorite commentary comes from The Defamer, who has made a weekly feature out of the delightfully insipid comments of show stars (kudos for mention of the “solemn pouts” – that is one aspect of the show that never fails to amuse me).
