The Freeman's Sporting Club Barbershop

Freeman\'s BarbershopSome things should remain old fashioned.  Ice cream parlors, Diners, Drive in's and...Barbershops.  In Manhattan it's even more important to bring us back to small town America, which is why we are getting excited for Freeman's Sporting Club (F.S.C.) and their new-OLD barber shop which will open its doors this Thursday, though there is a special opening party tonight.

"The F.S.C. barbershop offers traditional men's grooming services performed by Master Barbers and stylists. We teamed up with Sam Buffa whose goal in creating the barbershop was to offer an alternative to high end Manhattan salons. Our barber shop is a casual place where men can drop by and get a haircut or shave in a traditional setting without the fuss or trouble of making appointments." [F.S.C.]

Read what UrbanDaddy has to say about the place:

"If you've been to the shop in the back of Freemans Sporting Club, you know what to expect, but this spot throws in a few curveballs, like custom-made ivory straight razors carved from 10,000-year-old mammoth tusk, courtesy of Black Sheep & Prodigal Sons. Another new trick—soon to expand to the sporting club—is the Hangover Remedy, a hot towel followed by enough scented washes to clear away every trace of last night's excesses."
