Brunch It
Book in hand, brunch yourself silly. Magically, when you're just a party of one, you can walk into even the most insanely packed, two-hour-wait-for-a-table place and take a seat at the bar. Because God knows there's always that one awkward empty bar stool that's useless to every other group of plural people. Might I recommend Cafe Cluny, La Mercerie Cafe, Joseph Leonard, or L'Artusi?
Flip through your new book, catch up with your unanswered texts, stare blankly off into the distance as you wait for your eggs. No matter what, just don't put on your headphones. Totally weird look.
