How would you compare the taste to rosé or white wine?
Orange wine can often show similarities to white wine, because in a sense it is a white wine made from white grapes. The extended skin contact brings out flavors, smells and textures that exist only in the skin. This is where the similarity to red and deeper rose comes in. Tannins, textures and fruit skin notes can become apparent all depending on the grape variety and the amount of skin contact. Some well known white grape varieties are actually pink or grey like Pinot Gris/Grigio and as a result came produce darker colored wine when the juice is left in contact with the skins.
