    Desperate for a quick getaway?

Well if you're looking for a fun scene, great food, amazing music and chill locals, Nashville just has to be the answer.

As a discerning New Yorker with a taste for the finer things, you'll of course need a specially curated list of places to go and things to see. So who better to guide you on a Nashville adventure than Kathryn Sukey, Head of Design at Reese Witherspoon’s label Draper James

The stylish New Yorker (you've got to check out her series of brilliant subway fashion snaps) makes many annual trips down to the Music City for work, and has spent the past few years refining her list of must-experience spots.

Read below for Kathryn's favorites - from a grand hotel and chic shops to the hottest show in town and some down home Southern dining.

TootsiesMake sure to bring a stack of bills for the tips bucket if you want to make a special request to the featured band on the first floor.

UAL: Unbelievable designer discounts – there are two locations! I usually visit both because… well I can’t ever have enough fashion in my closet!

Draper James: The prettiest designs, and happiest prints! Don’t forget to take your picture in front of our iconic Draper James blue awning stripe wall. Anything you see in the store you can shop online.

Amelia’s Flower Truck: You can assemble the sweetest bouquets from this charming flower truck. When it’s parked outside the Draper James flagship on 12th, I like to stop by to get a bouquet for my hotel room.

Hermitage Hotel: One of the most elegant hotels in Nashville, steeped in history and culture. Be sure to grab a selfie in the perfectly pink art deco in the Men’s room.

Folk: Unbelievable pizza! I love the art and the vibe of this cool spot.

Husk: The ambiance at Husk is everything - very welcoming and ultra elegant at the same time. The menu is not to be missed either. It’s the type of place where you want to go with friends so you can sample from each other’s plates.

Henrietta Red: I enjoy stopping in at HR for martinis and oysters after dinner, because who doesn't want to prolong a fun night out!?

City House: I love the chic, farmhouse vibe (and the cute waiters!) at City House. Their roast chicken is unbeatable!

Arnold’s Country Kitchen: So simple and perfect cafeteria style seating for good ole-fashioned southern eating. The meatloaf is not to be missed!

    Mas Taco: ... Because tacos!
